Affordable Opulence

It's like being on a movie set and, at any time, you expect to see The Rat Pack coming around the corner... all of them would be wearing a crushed velvet, red smoking jacket and every last one would have a big cigar. That's the feel of The Granville Inn as you come into the restaurant.

They do events there, too. Weddings, dinner theaters, meeting spaces... It's a full offering of what one might hope for out of such a beautiful space.

We dined there on a whim when our friend Michelle mentioned heading up that way. It was unexpected and out of the blue, but something we'd both wanted to try, so we were definitely excited.

We arrived and, like always, ordered drinks and appetizers.

We bit off more than we could chew, if you will pardon the pun, when ordering the apps, though. The charcuterie board came out beautifully and was, in much detail, described by our server. He told us where the cheese came from, what paired with what the best, and suggested a few menu items that would compliment the board when we finished. We love good service and we love meat and cheese.

And this was some good meat and cheese!

We also ordered the Brussels Sprouts which were broiled to perfection. The lavender honey drizzle and red onions added a very nice touch, too. We were all wonderfully impressed.

Michelle ordered the Vegetable Trio with the intent on taking leftovers home to her husband. Let's just say that poor Dustin had to fend for himself that night because she loved it. We didn't get to try it... Michelle was loving her veggies and you know those vegans can be scrappy... We weren't about to lose a finger. We need those fingers for picking up bacon, after all.

Great Place in a Great, Small Town

From the cocktails to the appetizers and all of the beautiful interior and exterior, The Granville Inn was a fantastic experience. We can't wait to go back and try an actual dinner the next time!

Granville is such a cool town. We will likely stroll over to Taco Dan's when we are done for one of their Paloma-esque margaritas.
